Haven Schools Education Foundation

Established 2008

The purpose of this corporation is to be an independent community-based organization for the purpose of improving the quality of education by directing its resources toward areas of identified need. The Foundation will provide a mechanism through which community resources can be allocated for worthwhile programs in a stable, equitable, and timely manner, by increasing community involvement with and support for the Public School System. The Foundation will encourage open communication between the community and the Haven School System on matters of mutual concern, by increasing community confidence in the Have School System, and by such other means as are appropriate and consistent with its purposes.

Erin Peterson, Chuck Haines, Yvonne Yoder, Dinelle Hunsberger, Alicia Smith, Clark Wedel, Bill Royer,Cori Krol, Russ Snyder, and Lynn Thalmann. 


The Board of Trustees will oversee and develop on-going fundraising activities to support the mission of the organization. Community members or interested parties are invited to support the Foundation through individual giving (see form) or by taking part in the yearly fundraising activities sponsored by the Board. We welcome and invite any support of our school district.

The Haven Schools Education Foundation, a 501c(3) not-for-profit corporation, was formed in 2008 for the primary purpose of providing support to assist USD 312 with additional funds for our teachers and programs within the educational system. During the past 4 years, the per-pupil student allocation from the State of Kansas has been reduced significantly. With these reductions, it has been difficult for teachers to have funding for classroom supplies or extra dollars for projects. All donations to the Foundation are tax deductible and funds from these donations are made available to the staff of USD 312 for the benefit of all students of the District.

The Board Members of the Haven Schools Education Foundation invite all Haven High Alumni, community members, or interested parties to be a part of this Foundation either by giving or by serving with us. Donations of any amount will be graciously accepted and lifetime memberships are available with the amount being paid at once, OR over two years. Membership levels are: Gold Members: $2000 gift; Silver Members: $1000 gift; Bronze Members: $500 gift. SEE FORMS/OTHER INFORMATION BELOW.
