Local Area Scholarships
All applications deadlines must be met. No deadlines will be extended. All applications must be typed and turned into the counselor. Because of the interest rates on all certificates of deposit, the amounts of these scholarships are not guaranteed. Some of the amounts stated are estimates. Applications can be found at www.havenschools.com . Click on the Haven High School link, there you will find the scholarship information link. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to email Mrs. Estill at lestill@havenschools.com. Students will be provided a link to Google Classroom to download applications.
JAMES DAVID "Buddy" BRYANT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
1. The applicant must be a senior currently attending High School in Reno County.
2. The applicant must continue his/her education at an institute of higher learning in the fall semester following graduation.
3. The applicant must complete (8) hours of Community Service for one of the following:

James David Scholarship Application
CITY OF HAVEN SCHOLARSHIP
1. This is a $500 scholarship that will be given to two students from Haven High School.
2. Applicants must reside within the city limits of the community of Haven.
3. Scholarship applications are due in the counseling office by 3:30 on March 31st.
City of Haven Scholarship Application
HAVEN HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP
1. This is a $1000 scholarship. Two will be presented.
2. Applicants must be a senior currently attending Haven High School.
3. The recipient must demonstrate exceptional character, community involvement, and an interest in school activities and the potential for academic success.
4. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and plan on attending a vocational school, a two year college, or a four year university as a full time student.

LA CADENA CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
1. A scholarship of $500 will be awarded to a Haven High School Senior.
2. This scholarship will be awarded to an applicant based on future goals, academic achievement, and economic needs.
3. Scholarship applications are due in the counseling office by 3:30 on March 31st.
La Cadena Club Scholarship Application
MARGARET L. SMITH DECKER SCHOLARSHIP
1. This scholarship will open on February 12, 2025-March 16,2025.

FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF HUTCHINSON SCHOLARSHIP
1. One scholarship of $500 will be awarded to a Haven High Senior.
2. This scholarship will be awarded to an applicant based of future goals, academic achievement, and economic needs.

First National Bank of Hutchinson Scholarship Application
HAVEN HIGH WILDCAT BOOSTER CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
1. Scholarships will be awarded to 15% of the graduating class.
2. Scholarship amounts will be $500.
3. Scholarships are awarded based on involvement in school and community activities, school and community leadership, grades and special honors and accomplishments.
4. Scholarship applications are due in the counseling office by 3:30 on March 31st.
Haven High Wildcat Booster Club Scholarship Application
SALLY COBERLY SCHOLARSHIP
1. $1500 scholarship awarded to a Haven High School senior.
2. Student who has excelled in debate, forensics, scholar bowl, or any writing competition during the current school year and plans to continue their education at the post secondary level.
3. Scholarship applications are due in the counseling office by 3:30 on March 31st.
Sally Coberly Scholarship Application
THE WRIGHT FAMILY EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
The $1000 scholarship is to be awarded each year to a senior male and female athlete, selected by a vote of the coaches, who have exhibited the following characteristics during his/her athletic career at Haven High School:
1. Sportsmanship
2. Attitude
3. Effort
Must be attending a higher educational institution in Kansas post graduation.
Additionally, one scholarship of $1000 will be awarded to a student who has displayed strong leadership, good citizenship, and strong academics.
Scholarship applications are due in the counseling office by 3:30 on March 31st.
The Wright Family Educational Foundation Scholarship Application
HAVEN HIGH SCHOOL VETERAN'S MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
1. This is a $1000 scholarship.
2. Applicants must be a senior currently attending Haven High School.
3. The recipient must demonstrate exceptional character, community involvement, and an interest in school activities and the potential for academic success.
4. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and plan on attending a vocational school, a two year college, or a four year university as a full time student.

Haven High School Veteran's Scholarship Application
DAVID CHAMBERLAIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
1. The applicant must be a senior currently attending Haven High School.
2. The applicant must continue his/her education at an institute of higher learning in the fall semester following graduation.
3. The applicant must have been involved in an athletic extracurricular program. This includes players and managers.
4. Applications are due to the counselor's office by 3:30pm on March 31st
David Chamberlain Scholarship Application
HAVEN FITNESS SCHOLARSHIP
1. The applicant must be a senior currently attending Haven High School.
2. Must participate in at least two seasons in sports across high school career.
3. Must have a 3.0 GPA
4. The applicant must continue his/her education at an institute of higher learning in the fall semester following graduation.
5. Scholarship applications are due in the counseling office by 3:30pm on March 31st.
HARDWARE HAVEN SCHOLARSHIP
1. The applicant must be a senior currently attending Haven High School.
2. The applicant must continue his/her education at a trades school following graduation.
3. It is strongly recommended that all applicants stop in at Hardware Haven to introduce themselves to the owner, Ronnie Smith.
4. Scholarship applications are due in the counseling office by 3:30 on March 31st.
THE HARDWARE HAVEN SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
THE DEN SCHOLARSHIP
The Den Scholarship is awarded to Senior students who have shown leadership through their work in The Den. Scholarship amount and number of scholarships is determined by profits from that year.
Scholarship applications are due to Mr. Micheli by 3:30 on March 31st.
ANDY DICKEY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship has been established to honor the life of Andy Dickey, Haven High School graduate from the class of 1985. This scholarship will be an annual one-time award of $1000 presented to a graduating senior from Haven High School who meets the below criteria.
Application Requirements:
To be considered, the applicant must meet the following criteria, fill out the attached page, submit a minimum one-page essay and provide a letter of recommendation from a faculty member.
Enrollment: A senior currently attending Haven High School.
Academics: Has an unweighted 3.0 GPA at the end of 7 semesters.
Activities: Has participated in at least one extracurricular sport or band and/or one extracurricular club at Haven High School.
Sportsmanship: Has shown a high degree of sportsmanship during all school activities to fellow students and school officials.
Recommendation: Provide one letter of recommendation from a faculty member.
Essay: Provide a minimum one-page essay explaining a skill/trait you learned from your extracurricular activities and how you will utilize that skill/trait moving forward.
Continuing Education: Applicant must continue his/her education at an institute of higher learning in the fall semester following graduation.
Special Consideration: Will be given to any student who has a parent battling a life-threatening illness.
Application Due Date: Please return the attached with the required essay and letter of recommendation to LaNette Estill by March 31st.

Nancy Cokeley Memorial Scholarship
1. Applicants must be a senior currently attending Haven High School.
2. The recipient must demonstrate exceptional character, community involvement, and an interest in school activities and the potential for academic success.
3. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and plan on attending a vocational school, a two year college, or a four year university as a full time student.
4.Each applicant is required to complete an application and submit two letters of recommendation.
5. Scholarship applications are due in the counseling office by 3:30 on March 31st.
6. Special Consideration: Given to any student who is entering the education field or related field

Nancy Cokeley Memorial Scholarship
312 Foundation Scholarship
1. To be considered, the applicant must submit the following attached information page, submit their resume, one letter of recommendation, and answer the essay question.
2. Enrollment: Senior currently attending Haven High School.
3. Academics: Unweighted 3.4 GPA or higher at the end of 7 semesters.
4. Recommendation: One letter of recommendation.
5. Esay (500 words or less): How will the education that you received at Haven High School impact your future endeavors, in college and beyond?
6. Continuing Education: Applicant must continue his/her education at an institute of higher learning in the fall semester following graduation.
7. Special Consideration: Given to any student who is entering the education field or related field
8. Application Due Date: Please return the attached form with your resume, letter of recommendation, and essay to LaNette Estill by March 31, 2025.
