USD 312 would like to recognize and thank Don Etchison for an incredible 52 years of dedicated service to public education in Kansas.

Don began his career in USD 312 in 1974 as a teacher and throughout the years served students and the district in a variety of roles, including coach, mentor, and most recently as a custodian. No matter the position, Don consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, commitment to students, and pride in serving the USD 312 community.

Over five decades, Don impacted countless students, athletes, coworkers, and families through his steady presence, dedication, and willingness to serve wherever needed. Few individuals dedicate an entire lifetime to public education, and Don’s 52 years of service reflect a remarkable commitment to Kansas schools and the students they serve.

As Don and his wife begin an exciting new chapter and make their move to Arizona, we want to thank him for everything he has given to USD 312 and public education. His contributions and legacy will not be forgotten.

We wish Don and his wife the very best in retirement and hope Arizona brings them sunshine, relaxation, and many wonderful new memories.

Thank you, Don!

Brynn Loughrie has been named the USD 312 4th Quarter Impact Award recipient in recognition of her outstanding dedication to students, staff, and the school community.

Brynn exemplifies the kind of educator every district hopes to have. She consistently gives her time, energy, and heart to supporting students and colleagues while helping create a positive, welcoming culture within the building. Her enthusiasm and encouraging spirit have a meaningful impact on those around her each day.

Throughout the school year, Brynn has gone above and beyond to support students both academically and emotionally. One example of her leadership was the creation of the C.A.T.S. initiative for students in grades 3–6 during state assessment season. The program encouraged students to focus on Carefully Reading, Attendance, Taking their time, and Showing their work. Through her creativity and organization, Brynn helped make the assessment experience both motivating and rewarding for students by partnering with the PTO to provide incentives and celebrations.

In addition to her work in the classroom, Brynn dedicates countless hours coordinating the Food for Kids program, helping ensure students have access to food support outside of school hours. Her commitment reflects a deep understanding that meeting students’ basic needs is essential to their success in school.

Brynn also volunteers her time supporting community youth events, including After Prom, demonstrating her continued investment in students beyond the school day.

Her leadership, positivity, and servant-hearted approach continue to make a tremendous impact across USD 312. We are grateful for all Brynn does for our students, staff, and community and are proud to recognize her as our 4th Quarter Impact Award recipient.

Congratulation to Mrs. Beth Blubaugh for being named the USD 312 Education Foundation 3rd Quarter Impact Award Winner!!

Mrs. Blubaugh is one of the most versatile and dependable people in our district. She works hard, anticipates needs, and is often a trusted sounding board and collaborator when supporting some of our most vulnerable students. Her ability to connect with people helps reduce the stigma around mental health, and her reputation extends well beyond our district. Our school-based mental health program is recognized across the state, and Mrs. Blubaugh serves as a leader for other liaisons throughout Kansas.

Before Mrs. Blubaugh helped bridge the gap between schools and community mental health services, less than 1% of our students were connected to support. Today, that number is around 14%. Her communication, organization, and willingness to help wherever needed have removed barriers for students and families to access critical services. She helps reduce time students miss from class, ensures important communication between schools and providers stays clear, and creates true wraparound support.

Because she works across all buildings, Mrs. Blubaugh's impact reaches every student and staff member. She provides professional expertise in behavior support, partners with teachers, administrators, and counselors, and constantly works to improve our systems with intention. On the hardest days, Mrs. Blubaugh is the person you want by your side. Much of her work happens behind the scenes, but she has quietly made a difference in countless students’ and staff members’ lives without ever seeking recognition.

Thank you for all you do!!!
