12/18/2020 Fourteenth Gating Criteria Released for Reno County Schools USD 312. Haven has received its fourteenth guidance from the Reno County Health Department related to "Gating Criteria". The USD 312 school board has extended the current learning models through the first week of January. Due to having our 2 week holiday break, potential exposures, and not having district gating criteria as we return on January 5, 2021, we will maintain our current learning plans through Friday, January 8 . On that day, we will once again release our plan for the week of January 11-15. Haven Grade School-(In-Person/Micro-Cohort Classrooms) . HGS 6th graders are attending classes at Haven Baptist Church. All other students and grades are continuing to meet at HGS. Haven Middle/High School- (Remote Learning) . Students will be learning from home. Students may be asked to come to the building for individual instruction as needed. Yoder Charter School- (In-person/Micro-cohort Classrooms). Grades 5-8 will continue to meet in-person at Journey Mennonite Church. Grades K-4 will continue to meet in-person at YCS.

The USD 312 school board made some changes to the district’s learning models. This was based on the increasing concern in Reno County related to a continued spike in Covid-19 cases across the region. The Gating Committee continues to analyze these numbers and is releasing the decisions that have been made for next week and after. Haven Grade School-(In-Person/Micro-Cohort Classrooms) . HGS 6th graders are attending classes at Haven Baptist Church. All other students and grades are continuing to meet at HGS but some have moved classrooms. Haven Middle/High School- (Remote Learning) . This means that students will be learning from home. Students may be asked to come to the building for individual instruction as needed. Attention USD 312 Families: This is just a reminder that USD 312 gating criteria is a fluid process that does not guarantee remote learning. If you are not comfortable with your child being in the physical school setting, we do have the option for your child to attend our Virtual Academy. The schools gating criteria will determine what learning model we will be in when we come back at semester. The new semester starts on January 5, 2021. 11/20/20 Eleventh Gating Criteria Released for Reno County Schools USD 312 Haven has received its eleventh guidance from the Reno County Health Department related to "Gating Criteria". The USD 312 school board met yesterday and made some changes to the district’s learning models. This was based on the increasing concern in Reno County related to a continued spike in Covid-19 cases across the region. The Gating Committee continues to analyze these numbers and is releasing the decisions that have been made for next week and after. Haven Grade School-(In-Person/Micro-Cohort Classrooms). We will be making a transition to Micro-cohort classrooms (smaller class sizes). School will be cancelled on Tuesday, November 24 so we can begin this process. HGS 6th graders will begin attendance at Haven Baptist Church on Monday, November 30. All other students and grades will continue meeting at HGS but may move classrooms. Additional information will be provided by the building. Haven Middle/High School- (Remote Learning). This means that students will be learning from home. Schools will be communicating further on this and some students may be asked to come to the building for individual instruction as needed. This model begins on Monday, November 23, 2020. Yoder Charter School- (In-person/Micro-cohort Classrooms). This means that grades 5-8 will continue to meet in-person at Journey Mennonite Church. Grades K-4 will continue to meet in-person at YCS. 11/13/20 Tenth Gating Criteria Released for Reno County Schools USD 312 Haven has received its tenth guidance from the Reno County Health Department related to "Gating Criteria". This information is now considered by building and the learning model will be determined each week. Haven Middle and Haven High are now being considered one building due to shared staff, students, and facilities. This means continuing with our current learning model. We plan to move to Micro-cohort classrooms when/if the gating criteria supports it. Haven Middle/High School- Orange (Hybrid) . This means that students will continue in-person by the school provided schedule but only about half will attend each day so that our numbers are smaller and spacing can be increased.
