To parents of students riding buses. All passengers will be required to wear a face mask when riding in a school bus or any school vehicle. In addition, all passengers will have their temperature taken prior to being transported. If their temperature is above 100.0, they will not be transported. I ask that you take your student's temperature before sending them to the bus to help prevent them from being sent home, and to make sure young students have an adult available to receive them if they are running a fever. Fall sports parent meeting update... Fall Sports Parent meetings are tomorrow at 6 pm. Each sport will meet with their coaches in a separate location. HS Football - HS Gym (enter through the gym doors) MS Football - MS Gym (enter through the high school gym doors) HS/MS Volleyball - HS Commons Area (enter through the high school front doors) MS/HS Cross Country - HS Library (enter through the high school front doors) Girls Tennis - MS Library (enter through the middle school front doors)

To High School Band Students and Parents: We will proceed with our scheduled band camp for this summer. Social distancing and mask protocols will be followed. Please wear athletic clothing/shoes as most of our time will be spent outside. The schedule and times are listed below: July 29-31 Leadership Camp (Pride Leaders only), 8:45 am - 12:30 August 3-7 Half Days - ALL WINDS (9 am - Noon), PERCUSSION (1 pm - 4 pm) August 10 - 14 Full Band WINDS AND PERCUSSION (9am - 4pm) Lunch will be provided. HHS and HMS Football camp will be held next week, July 27-30. The high school camp will run from 7:30-8:45 am, and the middle school camp will run from 8:30-9:45 am. We will also resume our HS boys regular strength and conditioning schedule starting Monday. Masks will be required in the building, but not outside on the practice field. We plan to check out helmets to both HS and MS campers on Monday, so everyone will need a mask to enter the building to get a helmet. Camp forms are available on the "Haven Wildcat Football" Facebook page, and there will also be paper copies available at camp. Camp forms can be turned in when athletes show up for camp on day 1. We look forward to seeing the athletes on Monday, GO CATS!

Summer Strength and Conditioning and volleyball open gym are cancelled for this week, July 20-24. This is for all grades, 7-12. This will allow for our staff to go into the weight room, gyms, hallways, and restrooms to complete a thorough cleaning/sanitizing. This time off will also allow us to get more guidance from KSDE, KSHSAA, and more detailed information about the governor's executive order. Weights will resume for the boys on Monday, July 27th at its regularly scheduled times. Football camp will also start Monday, July 27th. More information to follow about girls weights.

Haven High School Class of 2020 and USD 312 community: I wanted to send a communication to everyone to mind you of our plans for Haven High School graduation. As stated before, through monitoring current levels of COVID-19 infection and consulting with the Reno County Health Department, it has been determined that graduation will be held outdoors at the Haven High School Stadium Saturday 18th, at 9:00 am. We are increasing social distancing opportunities. Patrons are welcome to sit in the stands or bring lawn chairs and increase social distance to their preference. Audience members are free to place lawn chairs on the track but asked to refrain from being on the football field or blocking any sidewalks used for ADA purposes. Audience members are also encouraged to bring water for hydration. Please be aware of Reno County COVID-19 mask mandates. Graduates will need to report to the gym at 8:15 am. Inclement Weather: If the weather does not allow the event to take place on Saturday 18th it will be moved to Sunday at 7 PM.

The time frame will be 12-6 both days, it will be a come and go (no sign up), and the drop off will be at the High School. They need to bring Chromebook, charger, and case.

Attention parents of students at Haven Grade School. The district will be providing our first ever Virtual Parent Camp on Tuesday, May 6 at 6pm. The purpose is to address two issues- 1) Engaging your children at home in the continuous learning plan and 2) Supporting your children's social/emotional needs during this time. Teachers will provide suggestions and ideas on how to serve your children during this time. Parents will then be asked to share ideas with one another in a zoom conference room. Participants will need access to a computer with a microphone and camera. Learning Packet Schedule for USD 312 Pick Up and Drop Off Haven Grade School: Mondays from 8:00am- 3:00pm grade level boxes will be placed outside the main entrance door for learning packet pick up and drop off. Library books and other materials can be returned at each Grab and Go lunch site Yoder Charter School: Learning packet pick up and drop off on Fridays from 11am-6pm Haven Middle School: Learning packet pick up and drop off on Tuesdays between 12-6pm Haven High School: Learning packet pick up and drop off on Tuesdays between 12-6pm

Kindergarten Roundup at HGS is being postponed. We would still like for parents to reach out to the Grade school and give them their contact information if they have a student that will be ready for Kindergarten.

There will be no middle school or high school track or tennis practice during spring break. Baseball and Softball will practice as scheduled and if permitted so by weather.

The Boys Basketball team has advanced to the Sub State Semifinals! They will play in Halstead on Thursday the 5th vs. Lyons @ 7:30 pm.

There will be no C girls game this afternoon @ Smoky Valley.

The first round of Sub State Basketball will be played at home vs. Smoky Valley on Monday, March 2. The girls will play at 6:00 pm and the boys will play at 7:30 pm.

The basketball games @ Smoky Valley have been rescheduled to Friday, 2-28, at 4:30, 6:00, and 7:30 pm.

The high school basketball games scheduled for tonight at Smoky Valley (Lindsborg) have been cancelled. There will be an attempt to reschedule those games and that date will be shared when it becomes available.

The USD 312 Education Foundation Dinner/Auction is this weekend! Here are the items to be auctioned off. Thank you to all those who donated! The Dinner/Auction takes place this Saturday, February 22 at 6:00 pm at the Sand Hills Event Center.
