On Monday night, August 9 the USD 312 school board approved the "Back to School" plan related to Covid. Masks will be optional for students and staff in all school district buildings. Masks will be required for those riding any school transportation based on Federal Regulations. The entire plan is available for viewing on the district's website @ havenschools.com. We are looking forward to starting school next week.

In accordance with KSHSAA guidelines, each middle school and high school student who plans on participating in a sanctioned athletic competition this school year must be trained in concussion symptoms and protocols. Please note: ANY STUDENT PLANNING ON PARTICIPATING IN ANY SPORT THIS YEAR MUST COMPLETE THIS TRAINING. Even if a student is planning on participating in more than one sport, they only need to attend the training once, to fulfill the requirement for the entire year.
The training will take place in the Haven High School Library, and should not take more than 30 minutes. The schedule for the concussion training is:
August 11th - 3:30 pm
August 12th - 3:30 pm
August 13th - 3:30 pm
*Remember, attendance to one of these sessions is mandatory for participation in practice.
In addition, Haven Middle School and Haven High School conduct Concussion Baseline Testing on all 7th, 9th, and 11th graders to help aid the student-athlete and medical personnel in the event the athlete suffers a concussion. This is not mandatory, but encouraged. If you would like your student-athlete to take the baseline testing, the schedule is listed. Testing will occur in the Haven High School computer lab (please enter through the main high school doors) and should be completed in approximately 45-60 minutes.
August 11th: 7th Grade - 4 pm*
August 12th: 9th Grade - 4 pm*
August 13th: 11th grade - 4 pm*
*Immediately after the Concussion Training
