🏫 Safe Schools Week 2025
📅 October 20–26
#SafeSchoolsWeek #SafetyStartsWithUs
This week, we come together to recognize Safe Schools Week; a time to reflect on the importance of creating learning environments where every student feels safe, respected, and supported.
A truly safe school isn’t just about physical safety; it’s also about emotional well-being, inclusivity, and a culture of kindness. When students feel safe, they can focus on what matters most: learning, growing, and becoming the best versions of themselves.

HMS RCEC Special Education Team
Carly Stuck • Kim Perkins • Kinzie Flowers • Andrea Ridgeway
This outstanding team embodies dedication, patience, and compassion every single day. They have worked tirelessly to support student success, and Haven Middle School is incredibly fortunate to have such a hardworking and caring group.
Matt Treto – Haven High School Band Director
Mr. Treto led the Haven High School band to the Kansas State Fair, where they performed in both the Parade and Arena. Their hard work paid off with TWO awards: Excellent II and Outstanding I! Congratulations to Mr. Treto and our amazing band students!
Brynn Loughrie – Food 4 Kids Program Leader
Brynn has gone above and beyond by taking the lead on our Food 4 Kids program, ensuring students have meals to take home on weekends. Her compassion, organization, and service are making a real impact in the lives of families in our district.

Today, we’re giving a big shoutout to the amazing leaders who inspire, support, and guide us every day. Thank you for your vision, your encouragement, and for always having our backs.
To all the bosses who lead with heart and hustle, we appreciate you!

Bronze Star in Kindergarten Readiness and Copper Star in Individual Plans of Study (IPS)!
These honors highlight the dedication of our staff and students:
Kindergarten Readiness (Bronze Star):
Through our Little Learners program, we are preparing children long before their first day of kindergarten. By building strong foundations in social, emotional, and academic skills, we ensure our youngest students start school ready to succeed.
Individual Plans of Study (Copper Star):
From middle school to high school, students are exploring careers, setting goals, and designing their futures through personalized plans, whether their path leads to college, career, or service.
We’re proud of this recognition and even more proud of the work happening every day in USD 312. #One312 #312Proud
Quick reminder to all jv football parents that the game tonight (10/13/25) is in Medicine Lodge at 6:00 pm, not Belle Plaine. Thank you.
All K-12 students can get FREE ADMISSION to tomorrow night’s football game — but here’s what you need to know:
✅ 7th–12th grade students who are in a fall sport must tell the staff at check-in that you’re a fall athlete.
✅ ALL students wanting free entry must enter through the MAIN GATE
🚫 The practice field is off limits during the game! All students must stay at the game.
Let’s pack the stands and show our Wildcat pride!

We appreciate everything you do on and off the field. Thanks for all the early mornings, late nights, and believing in us even when we doubted ourselves.
Tag your coach and let them know how much they mean to you! 💬❤️

Today, we honor the incredible individuals who shape minds, ignite curiosity, and build the future one lesson at a time. Teachers do more than educate — they inspire, support, and believe in us even when we don’t believe in ourselves.
To every teacher who's ever stayed late to help a student, brought learning to life, or made a difference (big or small) — thank you. Your impact goes far beyond the classroom. 🌍💛
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the educators who have guided us, challenged us, and helped us grow. Tag a teacher who made a difference in your life!
