Haven has received its eleventh guidance from the Reno County Health Department related to "Gating Criteria".
The USD 312 school board met yesterday and made some changes to the district’s learning models. This was based on the increasing concern in Reno County related to a continued spike in Covid-19 cases
across the region. The Gating Committee continues to analyze these numbers and is releasing the decisions that have been made for next week and after.
Haven Grade School-(In-Person/Micro-Cohort Classrooms). We will be making a transition to Micro-cohort classrooms (smaller class sizes). School will be cancelled on Tuesday, November 24 so we
can begin this process. HGS 6th graders will begin attendance at Haven Baptist Church on Monday, November 30. All other students and grades will continue meeting at HGS but may move classrooms.
Additional information will be provided by the building.
Haven Middle/High School- (Remote Learning). This means that students will be learning from home. Schools will be communicating further on this and some students may be asked to come to the building for individual instruction as needed. This model begins on Monday, November 23, 2020.
Yoder Charter School- (In-person/Micro-cohort Classrooms). This means that grades 5-8 will continue
to meet in-person at Journey Mennonite Church. Grades K-4 will continue to meet in-person at YCS. This is what has been in place for several weeks so no change to the learning model.
The plan is to remain in the above learning models through December 18, 2020. The gating committee will continue to assess learning models status on a regular basis during this time.
Community testing is available to those interested. https://www.renogov.org/767/Get-Tested
