Thank you to all the students, staff, and community members of Haven who volunteered their time this past weekend to help make the CKL pre-season volleyball tournament a success. This event could not have happened without your commitment and support! Looking ahead, we have many other activities happening later on this week. Come out and support your Wildcats!

This week's Wildcat Spotlight is Erica Moody!

On August 26th, Haven High School will be hosting the CKL pre-season volleyball tournament. This event will include all ten teams from our league with four courts running simultaneously throughout the day. In order for us to host this tournament, we need your help. We are still in need of a few workers to run the clock as well as multiple line judges and libero trackers. If you are available to help in either the morning or afternoon with this, please call or email Adam McCarthy at Haven High School to get signed up. Thank you for your help in making this a successful tournament for our community!

We are so happy to welcome students back today! We also have our first Wildcat spotlight of the year : Katie Teter, HHS Science.

Haven High School Senior/Junior Parents: There will be a Prom Planning Meeting on Thursday, August 10th at 7pm in the HS Library, following the Fall Sport HS/MS Parent Meeting at 6pm in the High School Gym

August looks to be a busy month as we start the 2023-24 school year! Please see this calendar for all events happening in our district this month.

In accordance with KSHSAA guidelines, each middle school and high school student who plans on participating in a sanctioned athletic competition this school year MUST be trained in concussion symptoms and protocols. Even if a student is planning on participating in more than one sport, they only need to attend the training once, to fulfill the requirement for the entire year. The schedule for the concussion training is: August 8th- 9:00 am/ August 9th - 9:00 am/ August 11th - 1:00 pm. Each of these sessions will take place in the library at Haven High School. Remember, attendance to just one of the listed sessions is mandatory for participation in practice.

The Fall Sports Parent Meeting will be on Thursday, August 10th at 6pm in the High School Gym. All middle school and high school fall sports practices will begin on August 14th. Student athletes must have a completed physical form on file in the office to be eligible to participate.

The pre-registration link only needs to be filled out and submitted by students that have not previously attended any schools in USD 312. If your student attended any grade level at any of our locations last year, do not fill out pre-registration. Your student's enrollment forms can be found in the parent portal on PowerSchool. If you need help accessing your account or need to create an account, please email cjohnson@havenschools.com or come in during in-person enrollment to complete set-up

Dear Wildcat Families,
Welcome back to USD 312 for another exciting school year. As we enter our second year together, I am thrilled to share some exciting updates that will hopefully make the enrollment process more convenient and accessible for everyone.
In an attempt to help meet the diverse needs of our communities, we are pleased to
announce the launch of our new online enrollment option. This platform will allow you to enroll your child in our district from the comfort of your home, at your convenience.
Whether you are a returning family or joining us for the first time, this system will
streamline the enrollment process.
To access the online enrollment portal, simply visit our school district’s website at
https://www.havenschools.com/ and/or follow the instruction document. The platform will guide you through the necessary documents and information required for enrollment.
If you prefer traditional in-person enrollment or need assistance, our staff will be available to support you on August 3 & 4, 2023. In-person enrollment for those attending HGS, HMS, and HHS will be at Haven High School. In-person enrollment for those attending USD 312 Little Learners’ Preschool and YCS will be at Yoder Charter School.
As we embrace this new school year, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for your support of our amazing district. I encourage you to stay engaged with our school events, parent-teacher conferences, and other opportunities for involvement. Your active participation makes a significant difference in your child’s educational experience.
Once again, I extend a warm welcome to both new and returning families. Here’s to
another successful year!
Proud to be a Wildcat,
Craig Idacavage, Superintendent
